I recently rang in the New Year at the Courtyard By Marriott in Rocky Mount, and I’ve got to say, it was a delightful experience! Upon arrival, we were greeted by a professional front desk team who made sure we were tucked away in a quiet room on the first floor—a perfect start for my marathon training, as I was able to get decent rest. The hotel’s new lobby is a cozy space, great for relaxing with a cup of Starbucks coffee from the Bistro after a long drive. While they didn't offer complimentary breakfast, their cooked-to-order options were fresh and hit the spot. To add to that, the fitness center was a decent size with all the essentials, making it easy to stay on track with my training. Plus, you have great dining options within walking distance for those post-run meals. If you find yourself in Rocky Mount, this spot is definitely worth considering—comfort, great service, and a touch of luxury all wrapped up in a friendly atmosphere.
